DARLINGe project aims to improve energy security and efficiency in the Danube Region by promoting the sustainable utilization of the existing, however still largely untapped deep geothermal resources in the heating sector. The project area covers the central and southeastern part of the Danube Region, encompassing southern Hungary, northeastern Slovenia, northern Croatia, the northern parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, northern Serbia, and western Romania, altogether about 95,000 km2.
